- 1 lemon
- A microwave safe bowl
- Measuring cup
- A micro fiber cloth or a double sided sponge
- Put water in a bowl
Measure half a cup of water and put in a microwave safe bowl
- Slice the lemon
Slice one lemon into two halves and squeeze the juice in the water then drop the lemon halves in the water as well
- Microwave the mixture for 5 minutes
Now place the bowl in the in the microwave and set the microwave on high power for 5 minutes so that the mixture boils
- Let the liquid cool for about 5 minutes
Without opening the microwave door, allow the lemon mixture to cool. The steam trapped in the microwave will help to loosen the food gunk and dissolve the food splatters.
- Wipe the microwave
Open the door, remove the bowl together with the lemon and wipe the microwave starting with the sides and the ceilings using a micro fiber cloth or a double sided sponge. If your microwave has a turntable, lift it up and wipe it clean. Finish with the floor and do not forget the door.
